Tickets for the 24th annual AVN Awards Show to be held Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas will go on sale to the public beginning Saturday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m.

Tickets range from $107 to $240, and are available through Ticketmaster (702.474.4000) or the Mandalay Bay Events Center Box Office (877.632.7400).

Wicked Pictures contract star jessica drake (www.jessicadrake.com) will host the ceremony, which honors the best performers, movies and companies in adult entertainment for the past year. Drake is a three-time AVN award-winner who started her adult film career in 2000.

Comedian Jim Norton has been named co-host.

'I can't wait,' said the veteran comic. 'I did it once before and it was great. Well, it would've been great, if I could have gotten a porn star to have sex with me. But that's the breaks,' Norton quipped.

It was just three years ago that the New Jersey native got his first taste of the adult industry's biggest event when he co-hosted the 2004 AVN Awards with Jenna Jameson.

'I learned a lot about the industry,' Norton said. 'I learned that I had a better shot at fucking someone from the general public.'

This year's show is expected to be the biggest ever as the Mandalay Bay Events Center has a capacity of 7,000 specifically for the AVN Awards Show.

'The show has become much bigger than an industry event and it has been crossing over into the mainstream,' said Paul Fishbein, AVN president and founder. 'At the Mandalay Bay Events Center, every seat is a good seat. The amphitheatre setting helps everyone have a perfect view and though the table seating is for the industry only, there are great seats to be had at lower prices than last year.'
