RSS Feeds On The Floating World
What Is RSS?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a lightweight XML format designed for sharing headlines and other web content.
Websites may use RSS to post updated links to articles on blogs or other news sites (as The Floating World itself does). Free
utilities are available in various programming languages to help webmasters incorporate RSS content into their websites, such
as RSS To Javascript and Feed On Feeds (PHP). We don't necessarily recommend these particular scripts - new ones are being created every day that may be better.
Individual readers may wish to track headlines and blog entries with blog management software such as Bloglines - or right on their desktop with Microsoft Windows' newest operating system, Vista.
Yahoo has a large list of RSS readers.
We use RSS 2.0:
We syndicate using RSS 2.0, the simplest and most common flavor of RSS.

Here is the excellent Wikipedia article about RSS.
Other common types of RSS include RSS 1.0 and Atom feeds.
