www.MySpace.com/Grindhouse Grindhouse Film Festival: Tribute to Gerard Damiano Saturday, December 13 At Midnight The New Beverly Cinema In Los Angeles, CA
From Grindhouse Film Festival:
Join us at the New Beverly Cinema at midnight this Saturday, December 13th, as we once again turn back the clock to the days
when XXX adult films were actually shown in theaters! We've put together an amazing program to pay tribute to the late director
Gerard Damiano (DEEP THROAT, THE DEVIL IN MISS JONES), and will be screening a very rare, uncut 35mm print of his all-time
XXX classic THE STORY OF JOANNA along with a selection of vintage porn trailers, snack bar ads and assorted weirdness. This
will be another incredible flashback to the golden age of adult cinema, as we grind out over two hours of 35mm smut.
If we continue to draw an audience this will be a regular midnight series presenting rare 35mm prints of classic 1970's XXX
films. We've shown biker films, women in prison films, kung fu, Italian zombies, gore classics... and now we present the missing
piece of the classic 42nd Street film experience. Here's your chance to see golden-age adult films projected on the big screen
as they were meant to be seen, surrounded by other fans and freaks. Since the rise of home-video and the internet the viewing
of adult films has largely become a lonely solo pursuit, but there was a time when it was a social experience shared with
others (which, we admit, could occasionally be somewhat bizarre and brain-damaging). We think it's time to bring porn out
of the privacy of the home and back into theaters where it belongs. So shut down your PC, unplug that DVD player, and come
out to the New Beverly on Saturday for the full vintage porn experience!
Bring a date, bring yo' mama, bring a dirty old man... fun for all! Happy endings not guaranteed, but always a possibility.
All of this for only $7.00, in the company of a crowd of enthusiastic fellow fans and assorted maniacs & perverts.

ABOUT THE GRINDHOUSE FILM FESTIVAL
The Grindhouse Film Festival events feature the screening of rare 35mm prints of cult and exploitation films from the 1960's
through the 1980's, many of which have not been publicly shown since the drive-ins and inner city grindhouse theaters faded
away twenty years ago. For one low price attendees get two feature films, a reel of rare exploitation trailers, a free raffle,
and very often appearances by the directors, cast and crew of the films being shown. The event has been held monthly at Los
Angeles' New Beverly Cinema since 2002 and is now expanding to other cities for occasional special screenings and midnight
events.
