Now, as the buzz within the adult entertainment community reaches critical mass, AVN has announced its launch of a completely new industry event called The AVN Show, slated to debut in August at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla.

Scheduled around the same time that AVN's Internext summer show usually takes place, The AVN Show promises to offer its attendees something totally unique and very different than any other industry show.

"Our goal was to create a totally new and revolutionary B2B interactive experience," said Darren Roberts, chief executive officer of AVN Media Network. 'The AVN Show will focus efforts on education, information, networking, and preparing your business for the future.'

With the industry changing so rapidly, The AVN Show is a much needed tool that promises to deliver a maximum return on time and investment. In many ways, the new show reflects the consolidation of AVN's magazines into one publication late last year, and is yet another nod towards the core belief that once-disparate facets of the adult industry are coming together - and have much to gain from each other. Although some of the agenda may be new to the adult industry, traditional selling and buying elements such as an exhibit hall, technology suites and exhibit cabanas will remain intact.

The AVN Show will cater to all market segments equally, but each with a unique twist. Traditional sectors such as content and production, novelty manufacturing and sales, and internet commerce will be joined by product distribution, retailer concerns and emerging technologies.

The AVN Show will take place Aug. 5-8 at the Westin Diplomat Resort in Hollywood, Fla., and will occupy the entire venue for the duration. Without tourists and other curiosity seekers on the property, the mood is one of pure business, yet in a relaxed and inviting environment. AVN expects over 2,000 participants and 200+ exhibitors at the ground-breaking debut show.
