The X.R.C.O. (X-Rated Critics Organization) will be present its 23rd Annual Awards to members of the adult film community on Thursday, April 5. This is a private industry event and one of the biggest industry-only gatherings of the year. Porn and Rock Star couple Tera Patrick (www.TeraPatrick.com) and Evan Seinfeld will host this year's event, the first time a couple has done so.

This year's 'Heart-On' Girl will be Ninn Worx contract starlet Jana Jordan (www.ClubJanaJordan.com) . The XRCO has their 'Heart-On' Girls act as trophy girls during the events with many top-names such as Ginger Lynn, Kylie Ireland and even this year's co-host Tera Patrick performing the duty in the past. The term 'Heart-On' is derived from the XRCO's heart-shaped trophy, which derives from the fact that for its first six years the awards show was held on Valentine's Day.

Veronica Rayne (www.VeronicaRayneXXX.com) will be on hand on the red carpet for the awards show, conducting interviews with Tony Batman (www.tonybatman.com) for 'A! Entertainment', to be aired on the Prime Time Uncensored Network. This will be her first red carpet interview session and Tony is eager to see how she does "Judging by her personality, I believe she will do great", says Tony. Look for Rayne while walking the red carpet and give her your best interview.

The awards to be presented are perennials, inclucing Female Performer of the Year, Orgasmic Analist, Superslut, Best Epic, and 20 others. And in addition to the regular awards, the X.R.C.O. (X-Rated Critics Organization) will induct a select and well-known group of industry stalwarts to its Hall of Fame.

The X.R.C.O. (X-Rated Critics Organization) Awards are invitation-only, open only to those who work within the industry and to those who write about them. Security at the show is strict and the list is tight. Doors open at 7 and only adult industry, XRCO Members, and pre-selected members of the press will be allowed admittance to this private event. This is not a fan event.

About XRCO

The X.R.C.O. (X-Rated Critics Organization) was founded in 1984 to give writers and editors from the adult entertainment industry a voice in selecting the yearly best in X-rated movies. The purpose was to award works of excellence, recognizing specifically the unique qualities of sexually explicit films. Its original membership included writers from Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia.

As the adult medium centralized in Los Angeles, so did the organization's members. With the rise of the Internet, membership has expanded to include writers from major adult web sites. The XRCO remains an organization of, by, and for working critics. Voters include writers from a wide range of adult publications and Internet sites.

It is the only awards show in adult entertainment that is not open to the general public. Admission is by invitation only to recognizable members of the adult industry and to the voting members.

Awards are given in some twenty categories, from traditional "Best Movie"-style prizes, to awards that are unique to the XRCO, to those that honor the achievements of individual performers (for example, Unsung Siren, Unsung Swordsman). The XRCO's Adult Movie Hall of Fame was the first such and it remains the keystone of the organization. Inductees must have been industry members for at least ten years, and they are chosen with a rigorous, discriminating selectivity equivalent to that of the professional sports Halls of Fame.

The Evil Angel and Wicked Pictures topped the list with ten and eight noms respectively, followed closely by Digital Playground, Jules Jordan Video, and Vivid Entertainment Group. The coveted New Starlet award will have strong competition with Sasha Grey, Naomi, Aubrey Addams, and the Rose sisters Mia and Ava. Sasha Grey was also nominated as Superslut and Cream Dream. German import Annette Schwarz likewise made two categories: Orgasmic Oralist and Superslut.

The Best Director (features) list includes Eli Cross, James Avalon, Michael Zinn, Brad Armstrong, and John Stagliono while Best Director (non-feature) lists Robby D., Jack The Zipper, Mike John, Jules Jordan, and Jake Malone. Among the Hall of Fame inductees are Rinse Dream (Film Creators), Mark Kernes (5th Estate), Mai Lin and Loni Sanders (Film Pioneers), Francesca Le', Janine, and Serenity (Actresses), Steven St. Croix and Mr. Marcus (Actor), and others.

Proving that XRCO members, indeed, do have a sense of humor, Kurt Lockwood received an honorary mention in the Orgasmic Analyst category. 'Lockwood did have more than enough actual nominations to be listed,' XRCO co-chairman Dirty Bob revealed. 'However, we decided that this award is best served for females - hence he is listed, but in a non-voting capacity.'

The XRCO's new publicist, April Storm, will be working the door and it is suggested that any industry members who may not be known or recognizable to her send an e-mail to make a reservation.
