I don’t know if any other webmasters have tried to deal with Metro and their new site Metro Babes, but something has seemed fishy to me since the XBIZ Conference in Woodland Hills in February, when XBIZ declared Metro’s CEO Ben Jelloun “Businessman Of The Year”, but there was no business to be done with him or his cronies at the conference or after. Penny was there and was very engaging. She was drinking, but so were we all. She promised to introduce me to the Metro reps so that I could program a feed to their new Metro Babes site. The contact never happened, and since then I’ve discovered that the Metro Babes affiliate site’s banners are non-existent and that their reporting doesn’t even seem to work.

Now Penny is saying that she hasn’t been paid for a great deal of her work at the new studio, she has an alcohol problem (which might or might not be at the root of her involvement in porn in the first place), she’s left her new mainstream gig at Celebrity Rehab and she’s blogging about it all at www.becomingjennie.com.

This new site is a pretty cliched bunch of crap, but if remaining in touch with the adult industry and whatever mainstream “fans” she’s acquired helps her to clean up her act, I’m all for it. I think she should just drop out and remake herself without seeking attention, but she’s probably hoping to make a living as a crossover celebrity, as many former porn stars hope to do.

I wish her luck - and I’ll bet that she has more success remaking herself than Metro will.
