This was a day of two stories.
The first: MikeSouth.com breaking a story about a group of bonded adult talent agencies deciding together to work against unbonded agencies, deadbeat producers, shifty performers and anyone else their lawyers deem vulnerable. Who can blame them? The State Of California should have been investigating unbonded adult talent agents years ago.
But Mike South gets the brass ring: he actually posted one agent’s notes from the meeting on his site. The “official” press releases on the other sites are mere euphemisms in comparison: Mike South’s Original Story, With Meeting Notes.
Then, after the AVN and XBIZ press releases appeared in response to his story, Mike posted some industry comments on the affair: Mike South’s Craaaazy (And Not-So-Craaaazy) Reader Comments. When will AVN and XBIZ post industry responses to their stories? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Sorry, whiskey shot from my nose and I had to stop typing.
The second story: Spam central in San Jose was shut down last night.
Gene Ross of AdultFYI.com caught the story first for the industry. Of course, old Gene didn’t write anything himself, he just pasted an entire article under copyright to ABC News onto his site, without even a link. Here’s a bunch of articles about the crackdown on Google News.
The spam in my own Junk Email folder fell by 75% last night. How about yours? I thought there was something wrong with my mail server….
