XBIZ Conference - So Far, So Good

XBIZ deputed the new Porn Valley location for its annual industry Conference yesterday and it looks like they made a good choice.

Attendees are happy with the new venue, particularly those in the industry who don’t have to drive all the way to Hollywood or even to Universal City to drop by the show.

Tuesdays panels were well-attended and the show did a good job of putting them together.

The Larry Flynt interview - the part I stayed awake for - was amusing, particularly when Flynt took websites to task for humiliating women, feeding misogynistic fantasies and stepping over lines - all just to pick up traffic. Hmmmm, didn’t Larry Flynt introduce all of that to the industry in his magazine back in the 70’s? Isn’t his misogyny coupled with good business sense what put him on the podium yesterday afternoon? Even as a kid, I was disgusted with Hustler’s misogyny. I guess Larry is too, now.

The on-site events get good reviews as well - I’ve never seen a Porn Poker Tour room so full.

The MaxPayments-sponsored party at The Rack, across the street in the Topanga promenade was great fun, with a very generous bar. Who would have thought that the valley could offer more amenities for a show of this kind than Hollywood could?
